Case Study: Kingdom Projects achieves paperless, accurate payroll and saves $20,000/year with Deputy

A Deputy Case Study

Preview of the Kingdom Projects Case Study

Kingdom Projects uses Deputy's mobile technology to manage the labour involved in construction projects

Kingdom Projects is a Melbourne-based commercial construction firm (founded 2008) that manages retail fit-outs and large-scale projects across the east coast of Australia. As the business grew, founder Sean O’Connor found himself bogged down in paperwork, compliance and admin: multi-site project coordination, tracking worker availability and managing payroll under a complex Enterprise Bargaining Agreement made real-time labour tracking and accurate pays increasingly difficult and time-consuming.

TradiePad implemented Deputy for mobile timekeeping, shift scheduling and automatic pay calculations, and integrated it with WorkflowMax for job costing and Xero for payroll. Employees now log hours on their phones, feeding accurate labour data straight into job management and payroll; this eliminated double-handling, reduced errors, and cut about 12 hours of admin per week (roughly $20,000 a year). Payroll now takes minutes, communications use Deputy’s News Feed, and the paperless system has improved efficiency, profitability and professionalism.
