Deputy makes staff scheduling simpler for The London Animal Hospital

The London Animal Hospital is a state‑of‑the‑art veterinary practice and 24/7 A&E in Camberwell, founded by David Cuffe in 2017 and staffed by 17 vets, nurses and trainees. After their Practice Manager left in 2018, scheduling—managed across fragmented Google Docs and separate calendars for day/night and vets/nurses—became a major time drain and made organising shifts and locum cover increasingly difficult.

In August 2018 they switched to Deputy, which centralised rosters and was easy for staff to adopt. The app gave David full visibility, eliminated hours of admin and “angst,” simplified locum bookings, and freed him to focus on recruiting specialists; the system is now being rolled out across his other practices.
