Case Study: Tron Theatre achieves scheduling cut from 10 days to 2 days with Deputy

A Deputy Case Study

Preview of the Tron Theatre Case Study

Deputy makes scheduling straightforward for Tron Theatre

Tron Theatre in Glasgow, a busy arts venue and creative learning hub, employs nearly 70 people across a mix of zero‑hours and fixed contracts and runs highly complex schedules (pantomime alone can mean five shows a day). Until recently the Front of House and Box Office relied on separate Excel spreadsheets and a fragmented scheduling tool that required department‑by‑department signups, making rota creation slow and error‑prone—taking as long as 10 days at peak times.

After adopting Deputy, Tron uses Autofill to build rotas from staff availability, qualifications and working‑hour rules, plus mobile shift‑swap/offer and news‑feed tools for easy communication. Scheduling time fell from 10 days to 2 days at peak, weekly admin was reduced by about three hours, rotas can be finalised in a few hours over two days and errors from incorrect rostering have been eliminated, giving managers more time to focus on the business.
