A Deputy Case Study

Preview of the Cash Converters Case Study

Cash Converters save money & time spent on scheduling with Deputy

Cash Converters, the world’s largest chain of second‑hand goods stores with 200 UK franchises and over 3,000 employees, faced time-consuming manual rota and attendance management at two stores run by franchisee Shneen Stevenson. Schedules, timesheets and communications were handled with spreadsheets and word memos for 19 staff, making shift planning, payroll and sickness/leave tracking a recurring administrative headache.

Implementing Deputy automated clock‑ins, created timesheets, and pushed instant rota updates to staff, allowing employees to claim open shifts and managers to respond quickly to sickness and leave. The change cut payroll processing by about a day a week, reduced communication overheads, improved shift coverage and freed management to focus on growing the business, with plans to roll Deputy out to other company sites.
