A Dell Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Town of Gilbert Case Study

Town of Gilbert ensures cyber resiliency and plows ahead with digital service innovation on Dell Technologies solutions

The Town of Gilbert, Arizona—a fast-growing municipality of roughly 260,000 residents that delivers more than 250 technology-dependent services—needed to protect its systems from malware and other cyber threats as it pursues “City of the Future” digital initiatives. To meet that challenge it partnered with Dell Technologies, adopting Cyber Recovery Solutions along with Deployment Services and ProSupport to establish a resilient, integrated cybersecurity foundation.

Dell Technologies implemented a layered solution—secure Dell storage and server infrastructure with replication to a secondary data center and the cloud, monitoring and ransomware-protection controls, and consolidated Deployment and ProSupport services—enabling immediate incident response, rapid remediation and uninterrupted delivery of digital services. The engagement reduced management overhead, freed IT staff to drive innovation, delivered single-source support and cost efficiencies, and helped the Town of Gilbert earn ninth place in the 2020 Digital Cities Survey for cities its size.
