Case Study: The Priory School achieves blended learning and increased student engagement with Dell Technologies

A Dell Technologies Case Study

Preview of the The Priory School Case Study

The Priory School launches blended learning with Dell Chromebooks, deepening student engagement and enhancing access to learning

The Priory School, a K–12 school in Hertfordshire with more than 1,100 pupils, needed to adopt blended learning but its ageing Windows laptops couldn’t support a full anytime/anywhere strategy or integrate well with Google Workspace. To deliver reliable, durable devices and scale a Chromebook-based programme, the school worked with Dell Technologies, choosing the Dell Chromebook 3100 for Education as part of its rollout.

Dell Technologies supplied the Chromebooks (alongside Dell EMC VxRail infrastructure and Dell Financial Services support), enabling teachers to embed digital pedagogy and students to learn anywhere. The rollout delivered clear impact: 79% of staff reported higher student engagement, 72% saw more homework handed in on time, 97% of teachers felt confident using the devices, 76% of students found Chromebooks useful or essential for core subjects, 50% rated them 9–10/10 for helping their learning, and 35% of Year 11s used them regularly to finish work.
