Case Study: British Heart Foundation achieves device modernisation and increased productivity with Dell Technologies PC as a Service

A Dell Technologies Case Study

Preview of the British Heart Foundation Case Study

The British Heart Foundation chooses Dell Technologies PC as a Service to maintain its research focus on heart and circulatory diseases

The British Heart Foundation (BHF), the U.K.’s largest independent funder of heart and circulatory research, faced an aging client estate of largely 4–5 year‑old devices across 2,000+ staff and some 750 stores, which hindered a planned Windows 10 migration, increased break‑fix costs, limited flexible working, and tied up IT resources. To address these challenges the BHF engaged Dell Technologies and chose Dell Technologies PC as a Service (PCaaS) alongside ProDeploy Plus, ProSupport, Dell Latitude and OptiPlex devices, and Dell Asset Recovery Services.

Dell Technologies deployed new Dell Latitude and OptiPlex PCs, bundled support and ProDeploy services to upgrade staff to Windows 10, move spending from CapEx to OpEx, and roll out two PCs per store in an eight‑week window, freeing the IT team to focus on strategy. The solution reduced break‑fix work, improved productivity and remote working, gave predictable budgeting, and supported BHF’s CSR goals with device recovery and refurbishment (up to 95% reuse) — all delivered and supported by Dell Technologies.
