The State of Oklahoma faced aging, siloed IT systems and a manually intensive, fragile disaster‑recovery posture that threatened core citizen services. To modernize and secure infrastructure during the upheaval of 2020, the State partnered with Dell Technologies, deploying Dell EMC PowerProtect DD series appliances, PowerProtect Cyber Recovery, PowerProtect Data Manager and PowerFlex storage.

Dell Technologies built a resilient, enterprise backup and secondary data‑center platform (in partnership with NTT DATA), moving roughly 2.6 PB of data and 10,000+ databases to a remote site and consolidating thousands of systems. The Dell solution modernized disaster recovery (bringing recoveries to measured hours), helped Oklahoma withstand more than 3.8 trillion cyber attack events, eliminated IT silos, and accelerated digitization—advancing the State’s information services by an estimated 20 years.
