Parul University takes the lead in accelerating cloud repatriation, enabled by Dell Technologies

Parul University, a Baroda‑based institute with over 30,000 students, faced rising costs and data‑security concerns after moving its WAC online‑learning and exam platform to AWS (incurring Rs. 4–5 lakhs/month). Seeking an affordable, secure, long‑term on‑premise approach, the university evaluated HCI options and selected Dell Technologies as a trusted advisor and end‑to‑end solution provider.

Dell Technologies delivered an HCI vSAN Ready Node solution (six Dell vSAN RN740xd All‑Flash nodes) with end‑to‑end 25G networking (Dell S5248F and campus switches), Dell EMC ME4012 storage and VMware licenses, alongside Dell OpenManage and iDRAC for single‑pane management. The deployment (completed July 2020) repatriated 30,000+ student modules and 2,000+ AI‑proctored exam modules from AWS, delivering higher performance, stronger data security, scalability for future growth, and streamlined administration via proactive alerts and consolidated tooling.
