PCS Publishing, a UK software provider for newspaper and magazine publishers, needed fast, reliable protection for its virtual infrastructure so customers could meet tight publishing deadlines. To avoid the delays and snapshot-corruption issues they experienced before, PCS deployed Dell Technologies solutions including PowerProtect appliances and DD Virtual Edition, Data Protection Suite, PowerProtect Data Manager and RecoverPoint for VMs with integrated vCenter management.

Dell Technologies implemented real-time replication between two DDVEs and native vCenter integration via PowerProtect Data Manager and RecoverPoint for VMs, enabling instant VM restores directly from vCenter and automated policy protection using VMware tags. The result: restores in seconds (down from 10–15 minutes), single-pane-of-glass administration, automated VM discovery and policy management, and deduplication rates of 94.6%–96%, significantly reducing backup storage and admin overhead.
