Case Study: Navarino achieves secure, remote, space-saving onboard IT management with Dell Technologies

A Dell Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Navarino Case Study

Navarino launches Quazar, its IT management service for the maritime industry, saving time and money alongside precious space on board ships

Navarino, a leading maritime technology and connectivity company serving over 650 customers and managing more than 8,000 vessels, launched Quazar to provide remote on‑board IT management. Facing tight onboard space, unstable satellite links and stringent security and regulatory requirements, Navarino partnered with Dell Technologies and selected solutions including Dell OptiPlex Ultra 7090 desktops, Dell Latitude laptops, Dell Technologies VxRail and the Intel vPro platform to deliver a compact, secure hardware and software stack.

Dell Technologies’ hardware and VxRail infrastructure, together with Intel vPro remote‑management capabilities, let Quazar manage devices in‑ and out‑of‑band—performing software updates, rebuilding drivers and providing full remote support without sending technicians to sea. The deployment delivered measurable benefits: CAPEX reduction through IT‑as‑a‑service leasing, cost savings from fewer technician deployments and rerouted vessels, zero‑footprint desktops and lightweight laptops that save onboard space, stronger security and regulatory compliance, and centralized visibility across Navarino’s fleet.
