To reengineer for agility, capacity and data protection, Macquarie standardized on Dell EMC and VMware technologies—including Dell EMC Data Domain, Data Domain Cloud Tier, Data Protection Software, Dell EMC ECS and Isilon, plus VMware vCloud Director and vSphere—partnering with Dell Technologies to deliver enterprise-grade performance and reliability.

Dell Technologies implemented an integrated solution of on‑premises and cloud tiering, Data Domain backups, ECS/Isilon storage and VMware orchestration, with replication across three data centers and automated self‑provisioning. The result: streamlined scalability of the 8‑PB environment, a new cloud‑based tiering service, 95% of backups completed in 1 hour (vs. 24–36 hours), 30:1 data deduplication, 100% service‑level guarantees and reduced operational overhead without adding staff.
