Case Study: Parkway School District achieves instant provisioning and resilient anytime, anywhere learning with Dell Technologies

A Dell Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Parkway School District Case Study

Limitless learning in an ever-changing world

Parkway School District, serving more than 20,000 users in western St. Louis County, needed to decide whether to renew support for aging converged infrastructure or move to a more agile platform to support anytime, anywhere learning. Working with Dell Technologies, the district chose a hyperconverged approach—deploying Dell EMC VxRail V570F nodes and NVIDIA virtual GPU technology—to modernize its VDI and back-office systems and better enable teachers and students for hybrid and remote learning.

Dell Technologies implemented 12 VxRail nodes for VDI and nine nodes for production, each VDI node using NVIDIA Data Center GPUs with NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation and managed via VMware ESXi and Horizon. The solution virtualized nearly 1,000 client workstations, eliminated unplanned downtime, cut software rollout time from two weeks to about one hour, enabled instant server provisioning, and delivered the performance needed for graphics‑intensive courses—improving agility, reliability, and ROI for Parkway School District.
