SCHWING Stetter India, a global ready‑mix concrete manufacturer with a lean 10‑person IT team and a 45TB VMware environment, was struggling with an aging backup stack (Veritas Backup Exec, Quest DR appliance and tape) that caused growing backup windows, VM‑level failures, tape read errors and compliance risks. To refresh their disk‑based protection, they engaged Dell Technologies (with implementation partner Uniware) and selected the Dell EMC IDPA 4400 as the target solution.
