Helping global organizations reduce their carbon footprints

Hark, a U.K.-based energy company, helps organizations improve their buildings’ energy efficiency but needed an OEM partner to design, build and distribute edge gateways that work in diverse industrial environments and talk to systems like ovens, HVAC and microgrids. To scale quickly and meet varied customer requirements, Hark partnered with Dell Technologies, using Dell Technologies OEM Solutions and Dell Edge Gateways for IoT.

Using Dell Technologies OEM Solutions to build and ship Dell Edge Gateways, Hark launched its cloud-based Hark Platform to centrally monitor and control customers’ industrial systems. The solution manages 24,000 devices across 600 stores, helped a supermarket chain save more than £1 million ($1.38M) in 12 months, and enabled another customer to save in one month the equivalent energy to power 800 homes for a year—demonstrating measurable reductions in energy use and carbon footprint.
