A Dell Technologies Case Study
Great Oaks Career Campuses, a large K–12 career and technical education district serving about 45,000 7th–12th graders and adults across 40 campuses, had to rapidly reimagine instruction when local mandates suspended in‑person learning. The district needed to preserve hands‑on, real‑world training while enabling equitable remote access and supporting teachers—so it partnered with Dell Technologies, leveraging Dell Professional Learning Services and the Dell Education Strategy team plus hardware and solutions such as Dell Latitude 9410 2‑in‑1 laptops (with Dell Active Pen), Chromebook 3100 devices, U2721DE monitors, and virtual desktop technology.
Dell Technologies deployed virtual desktops, devices, and targeted professional learning to get teachers and students online quickly and maintain experiential learning remotely. As a result, Great Oaks accelerated its move to a digital curriculum from an expected three years to days, delivered more equitable learning access, supported individualized technology for students and staff, and sustained hands‑on assessments (for example using Chromebook cameras for demonstrations)—benefiting all 45,000 students and enabling the district to continue innovating with Dell Technologies’ solutions.
