Jiguang, a leading Chinese mobile-data services provider serving roughly 100 million end users, needed to transform and enhance hardware management for its business‑critical Cloudera Hadoop big‑data platform to ensure high performance, reliability and lower operational costs. To address this, Jiguang partnered with Dell Technologies, leveraging Dell EMC PowerEdge servers along with ProSupport Plus (with SupportAssist Enterprise), OpenManage Essentials (OME) and iDRAC remote management.
Dell Technologies implemented ProSupport Plus with SupportAssist, OME and iDRAC plus a dedicated Technology Service Manager to automate proactive support and server lifecycle management. The solution let Jiguang deploy, maintain and update 500+ servers in about 4–5 hours instead of 2–3 days, resolve hardware issues in hours rather than days, administer multi‑site data centers remotely to cut on‑site staffing costs, and reduce performance risk through faster, proactive fault detection.
