A Dell Technologies Case Study
BittWare (a Molex company), a longtime FPGA technology leader, needed a strategic OEM partner that understood FPGA acceleration and could help deliver enterprise‑class, globally supported FPGA servers. BittWare engaged Dell Technologies OEM Solutions to leverage Dell EMC PowerEdge platforms (C4140, XE2420, R740), management tooling and configuration services to reduce engineering risk, cost and complexity and accelerate time‑to‑market.
Dell Technologies worked with BittWare to re‑engineer PowerEdge servers into BittWare‑branded TeraBox systems (for example the TeraBox 1400DN on the PowerEdge C4140 and TeraBox 2000D/200DE on the R740/XE2420), integrating Dell EMC OpenManage and Dell EMC Configuration Services so units ship preconfigured and tested. The partnership cut months from development, enabled support for four large FPGA cards and up to 32 100‑gigabit connections, reduced costs and complexity, and delivered enterprise‑grade quality and worldwide support—dramatically shortening BittWare’s time‑to‑market.
