A Dell Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Atlantis, The Palm Case Study

Atlantis, The Palm enables fabulous guest experiences and a more economical and efficient IT operation on a hyper-converged infrastructure

Atlantis, The Palm, a 1,539‑room luxury resort in Dubai, faced a fragmented, hard-to-scale IT environment that made managing business‑critical applications and guest services difficult. After evaluating several vendors, Atlantis chose Dell EMC to provide a hyper‑converged infrastructure using Dell EMC VxRail Appliance and Dell EMC Unity storage to bring greater efficiency, flexibility and reliability to its operations.

Dell EMC deployed 10 VxRail nodes and Unity storage to run the property management Opera system and its Oracle database, centralizing management and enabling active‑active failover for future expansion. The Dell EMC solution eliminated 50 physical servers, cut server provisioning from hours to minutes, and is expected to reduce IT infrastructure management overhead by about 20%, while maintaining continuous availability of data and applications.
