Warren County - Customer Case Study

Warren County, Ohio — a county government serving more than 160,000 residents and supporting hundreds of public-safety and emergency-services employees — needed to comply with FBI CJIS two-factor authentication requirements for remote wireless access to sensitive public-safety information. The county required accurate, real-time threat detection with minimal user impact, easy deployment, and seamless integration with its existing environment, and selected Dell EMC’s RSA SecurID Appliance as the vendor solution.

Dell EMC deployed RSA SecurID Appliances (primary and redundant), integrated with the county’s Windows Active Directory and existing Citrix/Padcom environment, and issued SecurID tokens to users with a phased rollout. The solution provided secure 24x7 access with auditable logs for court evidence, centralized security control, virtual elimination of help-desk authentication calls, interoperability with 300+ applications, and a lower total cost of ownership while remaining scalable for future expansion.
