VSPEX increases margins for AOS

Alexander Open Systems (AOS), an EMC Premier Partner based in Overland Park, Kansas, worked with a long‑time small manufacturing customer (about 150 users, single data center) that was managing 18 aging servers with no shared storage and tape‑based backups. To address management complexity, space and utility costs, and slow disaster recovery, AOS deployed Dell EMC’s VSPEX Proven Infrastructure (using EMC, Cisco, and VMware technologies) to virtualize the environment.

Dell EMC’s VSPEX solution consolidated the environment by replacing 18 physical servers and supporting 20 virtual machines, freeing datacenter floor space, simplifying management, and providing a faster path to disaster recovery. The validated, bundled VSPEX offering also boosted AOS’s margins and sales—because it’s affordable and easy to deploy AOS reports it can “make more money per sale” while delivering clear infrastructure consolidation and improved DR capability.
