A Dell EMC Case Study
Bank of Uganda, the country’s central bank, needed to restrict internal network access to authorized staff, secure its online payments and financial system for both internal and external users, and meet international financial-security standards. To address these requirements it selected Dell EMC’s RSA SecurID two‑factor authentication technology to strengthen identity verification across its IT environment.
Dell EMC deployed RSA SecurID hardware tokens (1,700 tokens across internal users and partner institutions) and worked with integrator 2MN to integrate the solution via API, provide user training, and enable a self‑healing authentication service. The rollout delivered reliable, seamless access control with minimal user disruption, ensured uninterrupted authentication through automatic backup failover, and helped the Bank of Uganda demonstrate compliance with international standards and improve the security of its payments platform.
