A Dell EMC Case Study
Segyung BriteStone, a leading Korean semiconductor supplier, faced an inflexible legacy data center with uneven server utilization, frequent server failures causing long interruptions, and limited scalability for new services. To modernize its environment and move toward a private cloud, Segyung BriteStone engaged Dell EMC and adopted the VSPEX Proven Infrastructure (including EMC VNX unified storage, EMC Avamar backup, and VMware vSphere).
Dell EMC implemented the VSPEX solution to virtualize and integrate storage, servers and networking, accelerating deployment and improving availability with VMware vMotion and Avamar deduplication. The deployment cut total cost of ownership by 35%, reduced server count by 66% and storage needs by 50%, and shortened the project schedule by about 46%, while boosting system utilization, agility and business continuity.
