Case Study: Keytrade Bank achieves strong two-factor authentication and customer mobility with Dell EMC (RSA SecurID)

A Dell EMC Case Study

Preview of the Keytrade Bank Case Study

Secure online banking with market-leading authentication solution

Keytrade Bank, Belgium’s largest online bank, faced a mobility and usability challenge: its eID/card‑reader PKI login required drivers and hardware that prevented customers from accessing accounts while traveling. To provide a quick, user‑friendly strong‑authentication alternative, Keytrade Bank selected Dell EMC’s RSA SecurID two‑factor authentication tokens.

Dell EMC integrated RSA SecurID tokens into Keytrade Bank’s proprietary IT environment and rolled them out in phases, enabling approximately 50,000 customers to securely access accounts worldwide using a PIN plus token. The solution delivered stronger security, greater customer mobility and high user acceptance with minimal support queries, seamless infrastructure integration, and a five‑year token lifespan.
