Regis Aged Care - Customer Case Study

Regis Aged Care, an Australian aged‑care provider with over 45 facilities and about 5,000 employees, was struggling with limited disaster recovery and periodic unplanned outages that threatened clinical systems and business operations. To address this risk, Regis engaged Dell EMC and deployed an EMC VSPEX Proven Infrastructure—including EMC VNX unified storage, EMC VPLEX, EMC RecoverPoint, VMware vSphere and HP x86 blade servers—to underpin a more resilient, active‑active data‑center model.

Dell EMC implemented the active‑active dual data‑center solution with synchronous replication across sites, protecting ~30 TB and ~150 VMs and enabling seamless application migration between facilities. The Dell EMC solution reduced disaster‑recovery time from days to about 10–15 minutes, increased application availability from 98% to 99.9%, eliminated material unplanned outages, improved performance and stakeholder satisfaction, and provided enough capacity to run the entire application portfolio in one site if required.
