A Dell EMC Case Study
Panduit, a global developer and provider of physical IT infrastructure solutions, struggled with growing physical server estates at remote offices and hardware deployments that took weeks—threatening the rollout of a critical unified communications suite. After evaluating alternatives, Panduit selected Dell EMC’s VSPEX Proven Infrastructure (including EMC VNXe unified storage and EMC Data Domain) for its flexibility, scalability, performance, and reliability.
Dell EMC deployed VSPEX (VNXe, Data Domain, Cisco UCS servers and Nexus networking, and VMware vSphere) in Panduit’s Singapore and London sites, consolidating multiple racks into a single integrated cabinet and enabling a private cloud validated by Dell EMC. The deployment accelerated virtualization from 0% to ~90%, cut hardware deployment time from six weeks to four hours, saved roughly $40,000 per remote office, supported up to 50 VMs in one‑third the footprint, halved annual downtime (16 → 8 hours), and reduced administration time from 45 to 7.5 hours per month.
