Panattoni Technology Group, an outsourced IT services provider for Panattoni companies worldwide, faced unreliable, tape-based backups and a backup window that exceeded 24 hours for multi-terabyte datasets, along with limited replication and low backup success rates. To consolidate and modernize its environment, PTG deployed Dell EMC NetWorker together with an EMC Data Domain system and Data Domain Boost.

Dell EMC delivered an integrated NetWorker/Data Domain/DD Boost solution that provided inline deduplication, centralized management, and cross‑site replication. The result: the backup window was cut in half (about 24 to 12 hours), deduplication improved to roughly 30:1 (~95–97% data reduction), backup success rose from ~80% to 100%, Exchange backups dropped from 6 to 3 hours, and administration time was significantly reduced while storage requirements shrank dramatically.
