Omega Financial, a Columbus, Georgia–based provider of online financial, fundraising, and communications services for fraternities and sororities, faced new disaster‑recovery requirements and limited performance and growth from standalone file and web servers. To meet these needs, Omega Financial selected Dell EMC and its VNX unified storage platform (with Local and Remote Protection Suites, RecoverPoint replication, and Unisphere management) alongside Citrix XenServer virtualization.

Dell EMC consolidated Omega Financial’s CIFS/NFS file shares and block data onto VNX, implemented continuous RecoverPoint replication to a secondary VNX 110 miles away, and provided automated management via Unisphere. The result: about 10× faster file and data access, virtually unlimited scalability, super‑fast reliable replication (for example, restoring two 60–70 GB databases in roughly five minutes), and hands‑off administration that freed IT time for strategic projects.
