Major Global Credit Card Company acquired a payments division that supported more than 300 corporate accounts and 2.5 million commercial cards, then faced the challenge of integrating infrastructure across three companies with roughly 30 separate projects and 26 concurrent workstreams. With no standardized PMO, reporting or cross‑pillar communications, the client engaged Dell EMC (via its EMC Consulting practice) to bring governance, reporting and program management expertise to the complex migration.
Dell EMC implemented a large‑scale Project Management Office, standardizing governance, executive dashboards, status reporting and risk/issue processes across 3,500 project plan line items and 26 workstreams over a 12‑month program. The Dell EMC team documented dependencies, mapped a critical path, enabled look‑ahead reporting, completed migrations and legacy decommissioning on schedule and on budget, and the client’s senior management awarded the project team a “Platinum Award.”
