Major Boutique Hotel Chain, a 130‑property hospitality group with a 65‑member IT department, was struggling with aging, nonstandard infrastructure, inadequate disaster recovery, and fragmented email archiving that slowed legal discovery. To modernize and virtualize its environment, the chain selected Dell EMC solutions — deploying a VCE Vblock converged infrastructure and EMC technologies including Data Domain, SourceOne Email Management, and RecoverPoint alongside VMware and Microsoft platforms.

Dell EMC implemented Vblock systems, three Data Domain appliances with offsite replication, RecoverPoint, and a single SourceOne email archive, enabling the hotel chain to move toward a 100% virtualized server estate of more than 400 VMs, protect Exchange, SQL, SharePoint and Office data with comprehensive backups and application‑consistent snapshots, and replicate data to an offsite DR site.
