KDDI leverages Dell EMC products and support to offer customers IaaS solutions

KDDI Corporation, a major Japanese telecommunications provider, needed to lower costs, boost performance, and improve customer service for its KDDI Cloud Platform Service IaaS offering. To meet these challenges, KDDI leverages Dell EMC solutions—using Isilon scale‑out storage and VNX for its private cloud—and relies on Dell EMC support services including Secure Remote Services (ESRS), MyService360™, and the Dell EMC Community Network (DECN).

Dell EMC delivered the integrated storage platforms, remote monitoring, knowledge resources, and the MyService360 dashboard to provide real‑time visibility and proactive support. KDDI reports that this Dell EMC solution contributed to consistent high availability and reliability—achieving 99.999% uptime for 23 months and 100% uptime for four consecutive months (Nov 2015–Feb 2016)—and enabled continuous quality improvement, faster reporting, and more effective operations.
