Healthcare Residential Service Company is a fast-growing, faith-based provider of long‑term healthcare and residential services operating 16 residences in 11 states. With a small IT team supporting critical applications (medical records, billing, payroll, prescriptions) and a largely virtualized environment (about 70% production virtualized, 35% of Citrix), the organization faced rapid data growth and limited backup retention on a backend storage environment of roughly 50 TB housed on EMC CLARiiON CX4 and Celerra NS systems. Dell EMC implemented a unified storage and information management solution—CLARiiON/Celerra arrays, PowerPath/VE, RecoverPoint with VMware Site Recovery Manager, and Data Domain DD660 deduplication appliances—backed by Premium Support and ESRS monitoring. The deployment extended backup retention from seven days to 60 days (with seven days of Veeam VM backups), delivered strong deduplication ratios (notably for SQL VMs), simplified disaster recovery, and provided proactive, responsive support that quickly resolved operational issues—stabilizing the virtual environment while enabling continued growth and lower IT costs.
