Harris Corporation, a Fortune 500 provider of communications and IT solutions, set out to expand its IT outsourcing by deploying one of the world’s largest VCE Vblock Infrastructure Platforms and creating a trusted, multi-tenant IaaS offering. To accelerate cloud adoption and overcome skills gaps, Harris engaged Dell EMC for education and certification support (EMC Education Services and the EMC Proven Professional program) to upskill architects, engineers, and operations staff across its data centers.

Dell EMC conducted a Knowledge and Skills Assessment, delivered role-based training and Proven Professional certification on Vblock, virtualization, storage, cloud architecture and security, and trained personnel at multiple data centers and for solution architects. The Dell EMC-led program enabled faster implementations, improved performance and availability, higher service levels, increased productivity, fewer internal and external support calls, and quicker problem resolution—positioning Harris to launch its Trusted Enterprise Cloud with a certified, competent operations team.
