To consolidate and modernize its environment, Esprinet selected Dell EMC’s VNX unified storage (using the FLASH 1st approach) along with EMC FAST Suite and related data-protection and virtualization technologies.

Dell EMC implemented VNX with FAST Cache/FAST VP, EMC Remote Protection Suite, Data Domain backups, and VMware vSphere support, migrating applications and databases with Dell EMC Professional Services. The deployment boosted I/O throughput by 65%, served 80% of I/O from just 1% flash capacity, cut data-warehouse report time from 3.5 to 2.5 hours, consolidated four racks into one with 33% fewer drives, and improved energy efficiency by 39%, while simplifying administration and enabling reliable replication to a remote data center.
