E.ON, a major European energy group, faced growing operational bottlenecks in managing its passive cycle—large volumes of supplier invoices and technical documents were paper-based, time-consuming to search, error-prone, and difficult to store. To address the need for digitization and tight SAP integration, E.ON selected Dell EMC’s Documentum platform (implemented with support from Comedata) to streamline invoice processing and document management.
Dell EMC implemented Documentum with its Invoice Management for SAP module, scanning invoices into a Documentum repository and making documents instantly available through the SAP GUI. The solution was deployed in a few months and delivered measurable business benefits: significant reduction in paper volumes, faster and more accurate invoice handling, improved administrative productivity, quicker issue resolution, and a better relationship with suppliers.
