Tupinamba Grup, a family-owned coffee roaster based in Barcelona, was struggling with fast-growing data that degraded performance of its SAP Business One ERP, limited storage capacity, and a fragmented environment of seven physical servers. To modernize its infrastructure and support BI and point-of-sale projects, the company worked with Dell EMC to deploy an EMC VSPEX Proven Infrastructure—leveraging EMC VNXe unified storage, the EMC Local Protection Suite (SnapSure), and VMware vSphere.

Dell EMC implemented the VSPEX solution in three weeks, consolidating systems onto a virtualized platform that replaced seven physical servers with a single virtual machine and provided scalable 2.5 TB VNXe storage with high availability. The deployment cut invoice-generation time from about 45 minutes to 25 minutes (nearly 50% faster), enabled faster BI analysis, automated three daily backups for quick recovery, and delivered space and energy savings while simplifying management through EMC Unisphere.
