Case Study: Seventh-Day Adventist Church achieves increased capacity, rapid deployment, and near-instant disaster recovery with Dell EMC VSPEX

A Dell EMC Case Study

EMC VSPEX enables increased efficiency and agility, with rapid deployment

The Seventh-Day Adventist Church needed to expand IT infrastructure to support new services across about 2,500 users at 20 sites and to strengthen disaster recovery so systems could be restored in minutes rather than hours or days. To meet those challenges the Church selected Dell EMC’s VSPEX Proven Infrastructure (deployed with Cisco and VMware technology) to refresh aging data-center hardware and increase capacity and resilience.

Dell EMC’s VSPEX solution was deployed in parallel over three months, enabling a smooth cutover and near-zero downtime. The upgrade more than doubled storage, increased virtual machines per server from 80 to 110, improved networking with 10‑Gigabit Ethernet, and implemented async replication between SANs so failover can occur in seconds—freeing IT staff to focus on new, value-added services.
