EMC VSPEX enables high -performance , scalable private cloud
Cap Atlantique, the intermunicipal community covering 15 towns on the Presqu’île de Guérande, faced aging, siloed storage, a costly client‑server application environment, and inconsistent network performance. To build a scalable private cloud and disaster‑recovery capability across two data centers, Cap Atlantique chose Dell EMC solutions, deploying the VSPEX Proven Infrastructure with EMC VNX (FAST Suite), EMC Avamar, and EMC RecoverPoint alongside Cisco UCS and VMware technologies.
Dell EMC implemented two VSPEX stacks—one per site—plus Avamar deduplication and RecoverPoint replication, delivering immediate gains in performance, stability, and availability. As a result Dell EMC enabled full storage availability, faster provisioning (servers can be created in two hours), reduced backup windows through deduplication, continuous cross‑site replication for DR, and improved capacity forecasting and scalability for future expansion.
