EMC storage provides rapid value for customers of Microsoft early adopter

Getronics, a 4,000-employee ICT services group and Microsoft Technology Adopter Program member, needed a Microsoft-integrated storage and cloud infrastructure to support prerelease testing in its Universal Workspace Lab, deliver hosted private cloud services, and maintain a first-to-market competitive advantage. To meet aggressive SLAs and streamline Microsoft integration, Getronics deployed Dell EMC solutions including EMC unified storage, EMC Avamar backup, and VCE Vblock converged infrastructure.

Dell EMC’s unified storage, Avamar deduplication, and VCE Vblock (EMC VNX storage with VMware and Cisco networking) replicated production environments for four-node Hyper‑V/Windows Server 2012 R2/System Center clusters and real workloads like SQL Server and Exchange. As a result, Getronics shortened development cycles, accelerated time to market for Microsoft-based services, enabled faster, validated customer demos and proofs of concept, and increased sales by presenting complete cloud solutions.
