Eastman Chemical Company, a Fortune 500 manufacturer with ~10,000 employees and 16 global facilities, faced an aging Pelco CCTV/DVR setup that was maxed out, cumbersome to maintain, and unable to support IP/megapixel cameras, analytics, or CFATS-driven perimeter security. To modernize and scale surveillance, Eastman selected Dell EMC’s Physical Security solution—centered on EMC Celerra unified storage and integrated with Verint Nextiva and VMware vSphere.

Dell EMC deployed a 30‑TB Celerra‑based solution with Verint Nextiva and virtualization to convert analog feeds, support IP/megapixel/analytical cameras, H.264, motion recording and rule‑based alarms. As a result, Eastman moved to a centralized, virtualized system that now supports 200 cameras, avoided significant capital expenditures, reduced server hardware and floor‑space, improved video search and response times, ensured high availability, and is extending the Dell EMC solution to additional manufacturing sites.
