CTERA and EMC ViPR Help POST Telecom Rapidly Deliver New Cloud Services

POST Telecom, Luxembourg’s largest services operator, needed to rapidly offer enterprise-grade cloud storage, secure file sync & share, and endpoint backup from within its own data centers to meet strict data sovereignty and customer requirements. To build a private-labeled solution quickly and leverage existing storage infrastructure, POST engaged Dell EMC (in partnership with CTERA) to provide the backend storage and cloud-platform components, including Dell EMC ViPR, Isilon and ECS alongside the CTERA Cloud Storage Services Platform.

Dell EMC delivered a software-defined storage and object/file stack integrated with CTERA to power POST’s ClouDrive service, providing multi-tenancy, encryption, AD/SSO, deduplication/compression, and single-pane management with billing and self-service integration. The combined solution enabled POST to launch a Luxembourg-hosted, private-branded cloud offering that scales to tens of thousands of customers, sped time to market, reduced total cost of ownership, and provided enterprise-grade security and performance under the POST brand—demonstrating measurable scalability and faster service monetization driven by Dell EMC.
