Completel, a leading FTTO provider in France focused on business customers, wanted to develop a private cloud offering but lacked in-house cloud infrastructure expertise. To accelerate delivery it partnered with APX and selected Dell EMC’s VSPEX Proven Infrastructure (built on EMC VNX storage, VMware vSphere virtualization, and Cisco UCS servers, with EMC Avamar and Data Domain for backup) to underpin its new VM C-Cloud service.

Using Dell EMC VSPEX integrated with APX’s provisioning portal and chargeback, Completel deployed the private cloud in five weeks and, within 18 months, reached about 1,000 VMs in production (including ~400 VMs for customer disaster recovery), serving roughly 50 customers. The solution simplified provisioning, enabled monthly billing with no commitment, and delivers a 99.9% availability SLA with a four‑hour recovery guarantee, demonstrating clear operational and time-to-market gains.
