Community bank improves agility with EMC VSPEX Proven Infrastructure

Peoples Bank of East Tennessee, a community bank with 10 branches, faced limited storage capacity, reliance on individual file servers and tape backups, and the need to support employee mobility and better customer experiences on a tight IT budget. To address these challenges the bank selected a Dell EMC VSPEX proven infrastructure—including Dell servers, EMC VNX unified storage, EMC Data Domain deduplication and VMware Horizon—to modernize storage, virtualization and backup.

Dell EMC implemented a largely virtualized VSPEX solution (99% virtualized) with Data Domain replication and VMware Horizon, enabling faster service delivery and remote access for staff. As a result, Peoples Bank cut Jack Henry day‑end processing from 90 minutes to 20 minutes, reduced backup windows from 12–13 hours to 5 hours (restores from 8 to 2 hours), lowered weekly backup management from ~5 to 1 hour, and accelerated project delivery and virtual server provisioning—delivering measurable agility and stronger data protection.
