Dell EMC deployed EMC Smarts across Colt’s European data centers and 30,000‑device environment to automate fault diagnosis, correlate alarms, perform root‑cause and cross‑domain impact analysis (including MPLS VPNs), and present real‑time dashboards in Colt’s customer portal. The solution halved average problem‑resolution time, cut roughly 1,300 annual person‑hours previously spent on rules writing and customization, improved administrator productivity, and enabled proactive fixes before customer impact — results Colt plans to extend to its Ethernet and optical transmission services.
