Re-engineering Learning to Drive Innovation with Tenaris University

Tenaris, a global steel-pipe manufacturer with about 22,000 employees, needed to modernize TenarisUniversity after its LMS became too rigid and long for learners; the company wanted a more personalized, social and self‑directed learning ecosystem. Tenaris selected Degreed (using Degreed + LMS, Pathways, Plans, and Pages) to support a new model that would promote continuous skill development, knowledge sharing, and better onboarding across its global workforce.

Degreed was deployed as the front-end learning platform via pilots, a global rollout, and a Degreed Ambassador program, integrating internal content, the LMS and external resources to drive adoption. The Degreed-based solution doubled logins and completions (100%+ increase) within six months, delivered ~50% monthly usage on average, saw 97% of completions as microlearning/just‑in‑time learning, increased online training hours ~12%, and improved cost efficiency by about 10–15%.
