Case Study: Tenaris achieves 119% ROI and modernized global training with Degreed

A Degreed Case Study

Preview of the Tenaris Case Study

How Tenaris Saw a Return of 119% After One Year of Degreed

Tenaris, a global steel-pipe manufacturer with roughly 23,700 employees, faced a challenge modernizing a largely face‑to‑face, centrally managed training program to ensure consistent, scalable learning across many countries. To shift to a more learner‑centered and agile approach, Tenaris selected the Degreed learning platform to replace parts of its legacy LMS and move onboarding and role‑based training online.

Using Degreed, Tenaris created a rollout team, migrated content, ran pilots and an internal communications campaign to drive adoption. Degreed’s on‑demand learning reduced onboarding and internal‑move training time (saving more than 15 hours for new hires and about 1.5 days for employees changing roles), lowered hourly training costs, and delivered strong financial results: a 119% annual ROI, an ~11‑month payback (0.9 years), and cumulative net benefits reaching $1.74M by year three.
