How Mastercard Empowered a True Learning Culture

Mastercard faced the challenge of delivering learning to its diverse, global workforce, whose needs spanned over 250 topics. Their employees lacked easy access to the learning resources they wanted, prompting a search for a centralized digital solution. To address this, Mastercard partnered with the vendor Degreed to implement an enterprise-wide learning platform.

The solution, Degreed, provided a single portal for employees to discover and track learning from nearly 1,400 internal and external sources. This empowered employees to drive their own development and allowed for the curation of custom learning pathways. The implementation was highly successful, with over 6,400 users logging in within the first month. Degreed fostered an organic learning culture where employees now actively form groups and share content, putting control of career growth directly in their hands.
