Case Study: Booking.com achieves company-wide personalized learning and real-time skills insights with Degreed

A Degreed Case Study

Preview of the Booking.com Case Study

How Booking.com went from Scattered to Strategic

Booking.com, the global travel e‑commerce company with 17,000 employees, faced a fragmented learning environment dominated by infrequent instructor‑led training, siloed content, slow turnaround and no clear visibility into workforce skills. To regain agility and give employees regular, personalized, autonomous learning, Booking.com partnered with Degreed to implement an integrated, curated learning platform (including Pathways, provider integrations and custom onboarding).

Degreed consolidated 23 learning providers into a single personalized feed, introduced Pathways and skill maps, and supported a branded launch called Discover to drive adoption. The impact: over 90% of Booking.com’s 17,000 employees are registered on the Degreed platform, 13,000+ monthly active users and about a third active weekly, plus a real‑time inventory of skills that enables faster, more targeted Pathways (e.g., machine learning) and measurable improvements in L&D effectiveness.
