Case Study: Associa (America’s largest homeowners association management company) achieves improved client retention and employee performance with Degreed

A Degreed Case Study

Preview of the Associa Case Study

How Associa uses skill development to improve client retention and employee performance

Associa, America’s largest homeowners association management company with 150+ branch offices across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, was struggling with inconsistent, instructor-led training, fragmented learning resources, and role-specific skill gaps—most critically among customer-facing Community Managers whose performance affects client retention. To centralize and modernize employee development, Associa built Associa University powered in part by Degreed as an on-demand, single access point for learning.

Degreed provided Skill Plans, centralized content, mentoring and skill mapping, and a top-down rollout that drove leadership adoption; Associa was the first Degreed client to implement Skill Plans. The solution standardized business processes and onboarding, increased employee engagement, reduced training time, and improved client satisfaction and retention—contributing to Associa’s strongest financial performance in 2016 and a Great Place to Work designation in 2017, outcomes the company attributes to Degreed-enabled skill development.
