Driving Transformational Learning Change at USAA

USAA faced a need to move beyond a heavy reliance on instructor-led training to quickly upskill its workforce—especially IT—to deliver code faster and at scale. To transform its learning culture with a small, strategic team, USAA partnered with Degreed to create a more scalable, faster, and more agile learning ecosystem.

Degreed was implemented as the core learning platform, with curated content from three providers, a Tell/Show/Coach communications model, leader-driven promotion, and a roadshow and champion program to drive adoption. The result: rising activations, quicker innovation across teams, and stronger IT upskilling—showing that Degreed helped USAA scale learning more quickly and embed continuous development into everyday work.
